    About Us

As a teacher, tutor, and parent, I’ve seen firsthand how children learn best when reading feels achievable and fun. I created my range of decodable phonics books and resources to help children build confidence step by step.

Each book is carefully structured so that children only encounter phonics they’ve already been taught, making it easy for parents and teachers to choose the right stage. This progressive approach helps children experience success at every level, keeping them motivated and excited to read.

Alongside the books, I design flashcards, worksheets and games that reinforce learning in a playful, engaging way. My mission is to make reading accessible and enjoyable for every child by providing the high-quality resources that empowers parents to teach with confidence.

    The Science of Reading

The Science of Reading brings together decades of research into how the human brain learns to read. It isn’t a single programme or trend — it’s an evidence-based approach grounded in psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience.

Studies show that children learn to read most effectively when they are taught explicitly and systematically. That means building skills step by step — from recognising sounds in spoken words (phonemic awareness) to connecting those sounds with letters (phonics), and then developing fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

When teaching follows this scientific understanding, every child — not just some — has the best chance to become a confident, fluent reader. The Science of Reading gives teachers the tools to help pupils decode words, make meaning, and enjoy reading for life.
